Spirulina and Chlorella- Tremendous Meals
Recently I've been fired up to the benefits of those two particular green superfoods. OK so I am aware a number of you are out there planning, 'Wow what took you so long'? and a number of you're going, 'Spira-what'? .. That's the way it is with any type of discovery really. It requires a few pioneers to be 'guinea pigs' test themes before many of us are brave enough to try it.
I'll let you know today, my mom turns her nose up at my tasty green smoothies... I have not talked to her about ALGAE yet!
You heard right. ALGAE! One less fragile observer named it pond scum, but I'm a trooper... I tried it anyway!
What are the benefits of Spirulina and Chlorella?
According to Mike Adams in his book Chlorella Factor, spirulina includes 12 times more the level of digestible protein than the same weight of beef, a phytochemical in chlorella can repair nerve injury, and both have been found to slow cancers. That is very heady stuff from a nutritional point of view.
What're Chlorella and Spirulina?
Spirulina and Chlorella are classified as algae. They are the two most common commercially grown and harvested algae for nutritional and health supplements. They are grouped by color...spirulina benefits is among the algae while chlorella is on of the green algae. They both are abundant with trace minerals, vitamins, anti-oxidants and phytochemical compounds. They're an abundant source of easily digestible seed protein, and have rich strong tones.
Both have also been labelled as 'super-foods' by the perimeter health and nutrition business, and they are gradually coming more conventional and more people experience benefits.
Spirulina is dubbed 'Natures Most Perfect Food', and is widely used in greens type powder supplements. It helps stability pH, apparently supports weight loss, might help reduce fasting blood sugar levels in diabetics, and inhibit viruses. It also includes omega 3 fatty acids and a number of people use it as a protein source.

- is rich with anti-oxidants and has anti inflammatory properties
- Chlorella benefits is known as 'Natures Detoxifier' due to the power of this plant to chelate heavy metals and toxins. The cell wall is obviously made out of material that binds toxic substances and heavy metals.

From a health perspective, I'm always looking for ways I can enhance the nutritional value of my diet. I realize that as our soil is depleted of vitamins and minerals, so are the foods we harvest, so I think to-day, as part of your before, it is essential to fortify our diets with super foods that offer superior nutrition to our body. I do believe spirulina and chlorella truly fit that bill.
